My mom passed about a year ago.i was wondering,if you can tell me what cemetery my dad was laid to rest in,I have wondered many things,If he had any other children,what nationality he was .
I am so very sorry for your loss,I was fortunate enough to meet Frank and Mary once in my life,They had found me,Frank told me he was my Uncle.He shared pictures of my father Herbert Matthews,I had never had the opportunity to meet in my lifetime.My mom's name was Hazel Gaston. this is the picture I have of him.Frank and Mary were so kind to me,I will never forget looking in his eyes,and seeing mine,meeting them was just amazing,I was in a bad marriage then,contact info got destroyed on me,was not aloud to find him again.
Thank you bless you ,you have no idea how much this means to me, I remember going to Elma years ago and wandering through cemeteries trying to find him and never could. If there is anyone in your family who has good memories or any one who really knew him I would love to talk to them, if anyone has info they would like to share with me my phone number is 716-338-3936. I have heard stories from my older siblings of him. I was told he had some PTSD from the war and that that's why my mom didn't stay with him. But their stories don't interest me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me the information you have. It will feel amazing to sit and chat with my dad and my real grandparents thank you you've given me a great gift today

My mom's maiden name was Zimmerman I was born in 1966 I may be able to ask my sister how long they were married. I was told that my m11om found out she was pregnant with me and corseted Me In during the divorce so my dad didn't know I was born. And changed her name from Matthews back to Gaston. I would have given anything to be able to meet him look in his eyes hear his voice and give him a hug. He may have had mental illness, behavior problems or whatever, but I have been a nurse for 39 years and I would have loved to have the chance to have known him anyway thank you for all this information I have to go to an appointment and I will check in later this evening thank you so much I'm so very happy you made my year!
