Left home when he was 11, got diploma from high school, didn’t get along with Grandpa, went to live with Irene, sold news paper and magazines, moved back with Mother in Elma, stayed for 3 years, drafted into service feb 14, 1943, Was combat medic for 86th Infantry division. Took medical training at Fitsimmons, and O’Reily General, France, Austra, Germany, Italy tours of duty.
Was in the Infantry Medical Core. Was in both war theaters, Europe and Pacific.
Got 4 battle scars in Europe
